Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, best known for directing 21 Jump Street and The Lego Movie will no longer be helming the highly anticipated Star Wars anthology film centered on Han Solo.

The news was announced in a statement from Lucasfilm. Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm, said in the statement:

“Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are talented filmmakers who have assembled an incredible cast and crew, but it’s become clear that we had different creative visions on this film, and we’ve decided to part ways. A new director will be announced soon.”

Miller and Lord have also released a statement. In it they say:

“Unfortunately, our vision and process weren’t aligned with our partners on this project. We normally aren’t fans of the phrase ‘creative differences’ but for once this cliché is true. We are really proud of the amazing and world-class work of our cast and crew.”

The still untitled spin-off film is keeping its May 25, 2018 release date. The script is written by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan and focuses on Han Solo’s life before his fateful meeting with Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi at Mos Eisley Cantina in Star Wars: A New Hope
