In October of last year reports circulated that Terry Moore was bringing his well known series, Strangers in Paradise, back for a new story. Yesterday, Moore responded to a fan’s tweet about missing the series with the month and year of the new comic’s release, “1.18”. So until the first issue of the new series is solicited, SIP fans can expect the new series to start January of 2018.
Strangers in Paradise is Moore’s epic self published comic (under Abstract Studios) that spans three volumes and 106 individual comic issues. The series chronicles the lives and adventures of it’s three main protagonists: Katchoo, Francine and David. The third volume reached it’s conclusion with issue 90 in 2007. Available in three different collections types (softcover, hardcover and digest), this series is an indie classic that is a must read for any fan of Moore’s work.
Moore’s currently publishing a fantastic series called Motor Girl, which I highly recommend.
What do you think of Moore’s resurrection of SIP? Leave a comment and have a great day.
