It looks like Kurt Sutter’s newest motorcycle gang series will be following in the footsteps of its predecessor. According to a report from Variety, the FX pilot will be entirely reshot with certain key roles being recast.

Along with this, the series has brought in Norberto Barba as an executive producer and director. Initially series creator Kurt Sutter was going to direct the pilot but he will now be spending more time re-writing the plot. At this time, it is unknown which roles will be recast.

Something like this might be alarming but considering the past, it might not be. Back in 2008, Sons of Anarchy underwent significant reshoots where the role of club president, Clay Morrow was recast. Scott Glenn originally nabbed the role but when it came time to reshoot the series premiere, Ron Perlman took over the role. Funny enough, Emilio Rivera, who plays Mayans MC president Marcus Alvarez, was originally a member of the Sons before becoming a member of the Mayans.

Mayans MC currently has no premiere date but keep it locked on Talkies Network for all the latest news on the upcoming motorcycle drama!
