We finally have an update regarding one of the most troubled Marvel productions in recent memory! After losing not one, but two directors (Rupert Wyatt and Doug Liman), fans were wondering what the heck was going on with Fox’s Gambit solo film. Channing Tatum has always been attached to star but rumors began to fly that even he was considering leaving the project, despite producer Simon Kinberg saying everything was fine. Well, we finally have an update and it’s a good one.

When asked about the Gambit movie by Comicbook.com, Tatum confirmed that he is indeed still attached to playing the tiular character and that the film is being worked on right now.

“Yeah, of course. We’re working on it right now.”

For X-Men fans, this is very reassuring. Despite production problems, producer Hutch Parker has said that the film will move forward as expected.

Fox has not announced a new director for Tatum’s X-Men film yet but fans are hoping it comes soon.
