Daniel Craig has portrayed Britain’s premiere super spy in four films to date, but after the release of Spectre had announced he had little interest in returning to the role. However Craig never confirmed that he was through with playing James Bond, and if this rumor is true he’ll be sticking around for a few more years.
According to British tabloid, The Sun, Craig is on the verge of signing on for another two James Bond films. Producer Barbara Broccoli has reportedly been spearheading negotiations with Craig for his return to the role This is welcome news to many James Bond fans, as Craig has received acclaim for his portrayal of the character, despite two of the four films not being well received. For the next Bond film’s story, discussions are apparently centered on a remake of 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
Now this is all a rumor, and if it is true, Craig is still in negotiations for returning to the role and nothing has been confirmed.
The next Bond film is scheduled for a November 2019 release.
