At Cinema Con tonight, Sony debuted a slew of new footage and tidbits for several of the upcoming films. Among the announcements were several release dates for some of Sony’s most anticipated features.
As Sony Pictures chairman Tom Rothman took the stage, he announced that the sequel to the 2017 smash-hit, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle will once again see a holiday release as the film will debut in theatres Christmas 2019.
Rothman also announced that the Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson-led Men in Black reboot, along with the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel will be released in June and July of 2019 respectively.
Finally, Quentin Tarantino and Leonardo Dicaprio were also on hand to discuss their upcoming film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The film, which will cover the year of 1969 and the rise of counterculture in an ever-changing Hollywood landscape, secured a summer release of August 9, 2019.
