Quentin Tarantino’s ninth film, currently titled Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, just keeps on getting better as it continues to add to its already stacked cast. This time, a former Godfather has joined the ensemble as Al Pacino has signed on to star in the film.
Pacino is onboard to play the agent of Brad Pitt’s character. Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Burt Reynolds, Timothy Olyphant and Margot Robbie star in the movie, which, just yesterday, also added Dakota Fanning, Damian Lewis and Luke Perry.
Set in Los Angeles in 1969, the movie will follow Rick Dalton (DiCaprio), a former star of a Western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Pitt) are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor…Sharon Tate.
Opening on the 50th anniversary of the day that the Manson family committed the LaBianca murders and the day after Tate was killed, the film will face off against Artemis Fowl, Disney’s adaptation of the popular sci-fi and fantasy series.
Tarantino wrote and will also produce Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which is set for a worldwide release Aug. 9, 2019.
