Pinkfong, the company behind the infamous “Baby Shark” song, is planning to release a “Baby Shark” television series on Netflix.
“Baby Shark” started as a campfire song and has swum its way through many different versions and music groups. Pinkfong introduced their take on the song in late 2015, and although they aren’t the original creators the song, they’ve had a huge impact on the song’s popularity.
Since 2015, their version of the song has been viewed more than 2 billion times on YouTube, making it one of the platform’s top 100 videos of all time. Three weeks ago, it debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 list at No. 32 and has yet to drop out of the Top 40.
Pinkfong also has plans for a cartoon series, a musical, and games that kids can find on Amazon Alexa or Google Home voice assistants.
