The (monster) gang is getting back together!
Disney’s highly anticipated streaming service, Disney+, is set to bring forth new and exciting content from past Disney projects as well as original series’. One show that has fans incredibly excited is the Monsters Inc. sequel series and now, we can confirm that the main cast from the film will be back!
Monsters at Work, the upcoming animated spin-off/sequel set to debut in 2020 on the platform, is officially welcoming back original voice cast stars John Goodman (Sulley), Billy Crystal (Mike Wazowski), John Ratzenberger (Yeti), Jennifer Tilly (Celia) and Bob Peterson (Roz). They will be joined by franchise newcomers Ben Feldman (Superstore), Kelly Marie Tran (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Henry Winkler (Barry), Lucas Neff (Raising Hope), Alanna Ubach (Coco), Stephen Stanton (Star Wars Resistance) and Aisha Tyler (Archer).
The series picks up six months after the original film with the power plant now harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis. It will follow Tylor Tuskmon (Feldman) an eager and talented mechanic on the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team who dreams of working on the Laugh Floor alongside Mike and Sulley.
Tran will voice Val Little, Tylor’s best friend and confidante; Winkler will bring the character of Fritz to life, the scatterbrained boss; Neff will voice Duncan, an opportunistic plumber; Ubach will play Cutter, the officious rule follower; Stanton is Smitty and Needleman, the bumbling custodial team from the first film; and Tyler voices Tylor’s mom, Millie Tuskmon.
