After including Batman in a hallucination sequence during the first season finale, Titans is officially bringing in the real Bruce Wayne to DC Universe.
Deadline is reporting that Iain Glen has been cast as Bruce Wayne/Batman for the second season of Titans. Glen is best known for his role as Ser Jorah Mormont on Game of Thrones, the HBO series that is set to begin its final season this weekend.
Glen will portray and older, more experienced Batman, and is trying to make up for the mistakes of his past. Check out the official character description below:
“After decades of fighting crime as Batman, billionaire Bruce Wayne is just as driven to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his prime. Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson, the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success.”
It’s not clear if Glen will appear in Batman’s costume at any point on the show. He is the latest additions in a long line of new castings to the show, which now seems like it’s going to revamp its core story quite a bit. Both Superboy, as well as Deathstroke and his family will be appearing in season 2.
