CBS All Access Renews Jordan Peele’s ‘The Twilight Zone’ For Second Season

After a record-breaking premiere, CBS All Access and Jordan Peele will be working on the Twilight Zone once again. The company has renewed the Twilight Zone revamp for a second season. This announcement has come after only five episodes into the new anthology, a clear indicator that CBS is confident in the show’s current and future success.

The series is a reboot of the classic 1959 anthology series created by Rod Serling and features Jordan Peele as a host, producer, and narrator. The series has managed to gather a pretty impressive cast list with such names such as Ike Barinholtz, John Cho, Taissa Farmiga, Ginnifer Goodwin, Kumail Nanjiani, Chris O’Dowd, Seth Rogen, Adam Scott, Jacob Tremblay, and Steven Yeun.

Julie McNamara, executive VP of original content at CBS All Access said that the show earned “The most viewers on its premiere day for an original series to date”. She also called Peele and executive producer Simon Kinberg master storytellers and stated that she and her associates at CBS “look forward to bringing fans further into The Twilight Zone with a second season”.

CBS hasn’t set a premiere date or episode count for season two but all five episodes of the first season are available to stream on CBS All Access.
