On May 31st, the world will end. Well, at least that’s what Amazon’s newest series Good Omens says when it premieres globally.
Good Omens, based on the 1990 novel Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, is the latest fantasy series to hit the Amazon Prime platform. The series stars an ensemble cast featuring David Tennant, Michael Sheen, Jon Hamm, and Frances McDormand.
Last week, Talkies Network received an interesting opportunity for an interview. We were offered the chance to talk with the series’ resident satanic nun group, The Chattering Order of St. Beryl. Now unfortunately, this interview was originally going to take place in New York. But, since we’re in Toronto, the nuns offered to record themselves answering questions I sent to them.
The Chattering Order of St. Beryl is a group of Satanic nuns pulled straight from the pages of Good Omens. The nuns are a professional a cappella group that can sing both covers of Queen and original content. Full of hilarious antics, the nuns bring comedic wit to interviews and sketches.
Talkies Network would like to send out a huge thank you to this amazing, crazy group of nuns, as well as Amazon, BBC, and Lauren Kelcher Stevenson for helping to make this happen. Without further-a-do, check out our interview with The Chattering Order of St. Beryl!
