The music in the trailer is reminiscent of something gamers heard back in Twilight Princess. As the trailer continues, Link and Zelda explore a cavern underneath the Hyrule Castle. Nintendo did not confirm when the sequel would be released, but early 2021 is where insiders currently peg for its debut.

In addition to the BOTW sequel, Nintendo confirmed its remake of Link’s Awakening for the Switch will debut in September. They also finally gave an update on Cadence of Hyrule. The popular indie franchise will meet up with the Legend of Zelda shortly for this crossover in a matter of days as the game will release on June 13.
