‘Avengers: Endgame’ Tops $2.75 Billion, Passing ‘Avatar’s Original Global Box Office Haul

A new #1 box office king is slowly but surely becoming a reality.

Today, thanks to an expansion overseas, Avengers: Endgame has now reached $2.75 billion at the global box office. This total puts it past Avatar’s original box office haul of $2.749 billion worldwide. But, as many already know, Avatar received a re-release of 9 minutes of extra footage which brought its box office total to a whopping $2,787,965,087.

Fans will get to witness Endgame once again in theatres as well though, as Disney announced that the film will be getting a re-release this weekend. Starting on Friday, June 28, participating theatres nationwide will hold a Bring Back event for fans to see Endgame one more time on the big screen before it finishes its theatrical run.

Fans who buy a movie ticket will be treated to a video introduction by director Anthony Russo and an unfinished deleted scene from the film, and it will be a chance for fans to get a head start on the upcoming Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Far From Home via a special sneak peek. Rumor has it that the post-credit scene will also be included and feature The Hulk.

Marvel unveiled a new poster for the re-release, which you can check out below.
