Eleven and Superman are joining forces to… solve mysteries?
You read that right, Superman himself Henry Cavill has been cast as Sherlock Holmes in WB/Legendary’s upcoming feature Elona Holmes. The film is based on the book series by Nancy Springer, and has Millie Bobby Brown in the title role. Helena Bonham Carter has also reportedly been cast as Elona’s Mother.
Springer’s book series, which started with The Case of the Missing Marquess in 2006, is made up of six novels and tells the tale of Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes’ much younger sister, Enola, who turns out to be a highly capable detective in her own right.
Harry Bradbeer is directing the film. The script, written by Wonder’s Jack Thorne, centres around a missing teen whose father has been murdered.
