On the 42nd anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death, Netflix has announced that the studio will be moving forward with an adult animated series Agent King created by Priscilla Presley and John Eddie.
The series takes Presley’s talents to new heights as he becomes a fresh inductee into a secret government spy program. By day, he’s still the same musical icon that moves and grooves. But by night, he helps defend the country that he loves by battling dark forces and evil threats.
Agent King is backed by Sony Pictures Animation and will have Priscilla Presley and John Eddie serving as co-creators and executive producers along with Jamie Salter. Archer writer Mike Arnold will be penning the script.
Netflix is already packed with a diverse selection of adult animated series such as BoJack Horseman, Big Mouth, Disenchantment, and F Is for Family.
“My co-creator John Eddie and I are so excited to be working with Netflix and Sony Animation on this amazing project and getting the chance to show the world an Elvis they haven’t seen before,” said Priscilla Presley.
