‘The Proud Family’ Revival in Development at Disney+

You read that right, The Proud Family is coming back!

During a red carpet event for the horror movie 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, actor Tommy Davidson (who played Oscar Proud in the original series) spoke to Where Is The Buzz, where he let slip that the series was making a comeback. Check out the video below!

Per Davidson, it would seem that the revival is already being worked on, and that new episodes will premiere on Disney’s upcoming streaming platform, Disney+.

The Proud Family ran on Disney Channel from 2001 to 2005, and remains one of the network’s most popular animated series’.

The show followed Penny Proud, a 14-year-old girl who is usually embarrassed by her father, as she experiences life and the typical hardships of growing up with her family and friends.

While no official announcements have been made yet, look to Disney D23 for confirmation on when the series may debut on the highly anticipated streaming platform.
