DC Universe Renews ‘Titans’ for Season 3

Titans are back (again) b**ches!

DC Universe has officially renewed Titans for a third season. The news comes ahead of the series’ second season finale, set to debut on the streaming service in three weeks. The third season is set to debut in 2020.

The second season focuses on the official reformation of the Titans as Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites), leads a new team, comprised of Rachel Roth aka Raven (Teagan Croft), Kory Anders aka Starfire (Anna Diop), Gar Logan aka Beast Boy (Ryan Potter), Hank Hall and Dawn Granger aka Hawk (Alan Ritchson) and Dove (Minka Kelly), Donna Troy aka Wonder Girl (Conor Leslie), and Jason Todd aka Robin (Curran Walters).

The Titans’ return, however, leads to the reemergence of feared assassin Deathstroke (Esai Morales), whose prior conflict with the original team caused their disbanding.

Titans was announced as the streaming service’s flagship series, with Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, and Greg Berlanti attached as producers.

Rumors about the future of DC Universe have persisted for some time, given the impending launch of HBO Max, which is also under the WarnerMedia umbrella. As of now, Doom Patrol, Harley Quinn, Young JUstice, and the incoming Stargirl will remain on DC Universe. Doom Patrol will simultaneously stream on HBO Max.

HBO Max is also set to debut DC shows of their own, with Green Lantern, and Adam Strange, series’ coming from Greg Berlanti, while Elizabeth Banks will produce a DC/high school animated series.
