Hans Zimmer to Compose Music for Bond Movie ‘No Time to Die’

Hans Zimmer is set to travel from the scorching reaches of Arrakis to the suave and secretive MI6 as the legendary composer is set to take on the latest Bond movie.

Multiple insiders have told Variety that Zimmer is set to replace Dan Romer as composer for the upcoming James Bond film No Time to Die. The film, which is the 25th film in the 007 franchise, is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, and sees Daniel Craig reprise his role as Bond for the final time.

Creative differences are apparently the reason for Romer’s departure. He previously worked with Fukunaga on Netflix’s Maniac and Fukunaga’s previous directorial outing Beasts of No Nation.

The report notes that Zimmer may be looking to his fellow composers to help with the No Time to Die score. Zimmer already has a packed 2020, as he will be composing music for Wonder Woman 1984, Dune, and Top Gun” Maverick. Zimmer has enlisted his friends to help with film scores before, including Lorne Balfe and Benjamin Wallfisch.
