Netflix Renews ‘You’ For Season 3

The adventures of serial killer Joe Goldberg will continue as Netflix announced it has renewed the hit series for a third season.

The renewal comes just over two weeks after the release of the highly anticipated second season, which premiered on the streamer on Dec. 26. Season 3 will consist of 10 episodes and is set to debut in 2021.

Series leads Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti are confirmed to reprise their roles in the new season, with more casting to be announced at a later date.

Season 3 of You will be the second season of the series to debut exclusively on Netflix. The series premiered on Lifetime on September 9, 2018, but attracted a limited audience, leading to the series moving over to Netflix as a Netflix original in Season 2.

Series co-creators Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti will return as executive producers, with Gamble also returning as showrunner.

The snyopsis for the second season is as follows:

In the second season, Joe Goldberg moves from New York to Los Angeles to escape his past, and starts over with a new identity. When he meets avid chef Love Quinn, Joe begins falling into his old patterns of obsession and violence. As Joe attempts to forge a new love, he strives to make his relationship with Love succeed at all costs, to avoid the fate of his past romantic endeavors.
